CUSTOMERS of a national bank are being directed to use a 'pop up' customer support event as they prepare to undergo a refurbishment that will take over two weeks.
The HSBC branch on Fore Street, Hexham, has announced that it will be closed on Monday, March 18, at 2 pm and is expected to re-open on Thursday, April 4, at 9.30 am after a 'refresh' that will include internal building work.
Joanne Wade, HSBC UK’s Local Director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one. We are pleased that our Hexham branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.
“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day to day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre.
“We will also be hosting a Community Pop Up Event at The County Hotel, Priestpopple Hexham NE46 1PS, where we will be on hand to support customers. We will be there on Thursday March 21 between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
"Customers can also continue to use any of our branch with Newcastle being the closest branch.”
