A FIRE crew has hailed their charity car wash a success.
On Saturday morning (March,23) Haltwhistle fire crew were out in force washing resident's cars outside Sainsbury's carpark all in aid to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The charity helps members of the UK's fire services community to live healthier and happier by providing help with their mental, physical and social needs.
The crew announced later that day that they raised £495.50 and thanked the community for their help.
County Cllr Gordon Stewart - Chairman of the Northlumberland Fire & Rescue Service said"Our fire crews are at the heart of the communities they serve and it's fantastic to see them getting involved in charitable activities for a good cause."
