Northumberland Community Development Company (NCDC) has celebrated National Village Halls Week.
The community enterprise marked the occasion with a geology-themed cake and special decorations at a Maps, Mines and Minerals class.
This was held at Lambley Village Hall which, like many village halls in South West Tynedale, offers diverse opportunities for various activities, hobbies and social gatherings.
From yoga, film clubs, arts and crafts to agricultural clubs and WI's meetings, these village halls host a treasure troves of community programmes.
NCDC director, John McGough, calls it a 'privilege' to be able to access the network of village halls across the region.
NCDC resumes its geology meet at 7pm on Tuesday, April 9, at Lambley Village Hall.
Local geologist Alison Broomhead will introduce attendees to useful compounds in minerals and potential nearby geology field trip options.
Those interested in these and other NCDC opportunities can contact Annette on 07968229767.
