THE National Pub and Bar Awards announced its 2024 edition naming 96 of the UK's best boozers - naming The Crown Inn, Humshaugh, the only Northumberland winner.
We asked our readers which other pubs they would have chosen to win.
The Dipton Mill Inn, Hexham was highly recommended by our readers including Susan Greener and Liz Stappard, who said: "Lovely pub and great home-cooked food."
Janette L Adamson said the Inn is a "lovely pub".
The cosy inn has a beer garden complete with a mill stream.

A Facebook review said: "Our first time here and we were very impressed. The food was delicious and the place had a very nice ambience."
The Tannery, Hexham was recommended by Sara Allen and Alan Turnbull, who said it had an "amazing atmosphere and proper pub food". It hosts regular live music nights along with quiz events.
One Facebook review said: "Best pub in Hexham, food is amazing and dog friendly, keep up the great work guys."
Gemma McShane and Lyndsey Michelle Rutterford recommended The Blue Bell, Corbridge.
A Facebook review said: "Canny pub, a nice pint, friendly staff, bit of banter with some other punters, what's not to like?"
Another reader, Katherine Carter, said: "1,000 per cent The Blue Bell lovely friendly atmosphere, great food and a good selection of drinks. Fantastic staff and management. Supports local singers. All round great pub."
The Victorian Tap, Hexham, which recently reopened under new management, was recommended by Malcolm Dance.
It has live music weekly on Friday night from 8pm.
A review said: "Very welcoming and friendly pub. Wonderful beers on tap."
Sue Bambridge voted for the Twice Brewed Inn, Bardon Mill, which boasts an award-winning brewery and shop, stargazing and planetarium events and a prime spot on the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall.
A Facebook review said: "Absolutely lovely place, brilliant staff, food and drinks are amazing, we will be back many times."
Daphne Gilbert suggested The Feathers Inn, Hedley on the Hill. An award-winning pub with several accolades, it has been included in The Good Food Guide Local Restaurant of the Year 2019, was The Good Pub Guide County Dining Pub of the Year award winner 14 times from 2007 – 2022 and has been in The Michelin Guide Inspectors' Favourite eight times from 2007 – 2019.
Ian Dodd said: "Robin Hood Inn is always a nice place to stop by."
