A junction is closed while emergency gas works are carried out in Mickley.
Engineers from Northern Gas Networks, the gas distributor for the north of England, are carrying out emergency gas works on the junction of Riding Dene, Mickley today (Friday, April 12).
Work is part of an ongoing investigation into a gas escape in the area. The junction of Riding Dene is temporarily closed on the A695, and traffic is being diverted down Station Bank.
Michael Brown, site manager at Northern Gas Networks said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers while we assess and carry out repairs at the junction of Riding Dene on the A695.
“We’re working to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible and thank our customers for bearing with us until the work is finished and we can reopen the road.”
