The Newcastle Food & Drink Festival has revealed its line-up of culinary masters for its debut event.

The festival will unveil its delicious delights at Exhibition Park where food connoisseurs can enjoy live demonstrations from talented chefs.

MasterChef finalist, Anthony O'Shaughnessy, who teaches at esteemed northern cookery schools, will be orchestrating the event's Live Cookery Theatre.

Attendees will be treated to gastronomic mastery from talents such as Troy Terrington, Chris Wardale, and Kyle Greenwood on Saturday, May 4.

The following day will see Joshua Sercombe and Scott John-Hodgson, among others, step up to the plate.

On Monday, May 6, guests will see Jonny Hesketh, Emma Carlton, Chef Guarav, and Jonny Wardale showcasing their skills.

In addition to the mouth-watering cooking demonstrations, there will also be live entertainment, activities for children, a funfair and more.

The Street Food Arena and Artisan Market are set to be packed with global cuisines, local produce, crafts and arts.

The festival, which will be working with Tyneside & Northumberland Mind as its charity partner, aims to build on the more than £100,000 already raised for mental health initiatives in the north.
