A PUB has been recognised as the best in Northumberland for the second year in a row and is a finalist for the best in the county in London in June.
The Crown Inn, Humshaugh has defended its title as the Best Pub In Northumberland at the National Pub & Bar Awards 2024.
It is among nearly 100 winners from across the UK in the prestigious competition.
The awards ceremony will take place in June in London later this year, where county winners will discover which pubs will be taking home a regional title, as well as which is to be named the UK’s best.
The awards were created with the aim to highlight the positive and inspiring work being carried out across the UK’s hospitality industry.
Crown owner David Harding, from Otterburn, has expanded and improved the pub since taking it on over 11 years ago and has since boosted the business with its regular events such as supercar and tractor days.
Speaking of the achievement, he said: "I am over the moon that this is the second year running that we have been recognised as one of the best.
"We are looking forward to the finals in London but whatever the result we are happy with just being named the best in Northumberland.
"Although it is a company win, I think it is more of a staff win as it was down to them working as a team - that we won.
"I can't thank them enough."
