WE asked our readers where their favourite places to get lunch were in Hexham, the Tyne Valley or further afield. Here's what they said.
The Boatside Inn, Warden was recommended several times by our readers, including Lindsey Hitch and Susan Dunn, who said: "Excellent food, welcoming staff, dog friendly."
One Facebook review said: "We were there today for Sunday lunch. It was absolutely delicious, great fast friendly service. Lovely surroundings, will definitely be back, nicest Sunday lunch we've had in a long time."
Daphne Threadgold-Reay suggested The County Hotel, Hexham. "Always nice and reasonably priced," she said.

One happy customer said: "The food was delicious, good prices too. The decor in the dining area was very well thought out, relaxing atmosphere."
The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman's Rest, Knarsdale was recommended by Colin Burchett. He said it serves "exceptional food in a stunning location".
The business, located in Slaggyford, near Alston, describes itself as serving "wonderful Northumberland produce prepared using simple, classic flavours and techniques with a modern twist".
Dawn Wilson suggested Bywell Coffee Barn, Stocksfield. She said: "Delicious food, lovely friendly staff and amazing things for sale, they also have a sister shop in Corbridge."
The coffee shop is recommended for its cakes and savoury plates, with one review stating they had a "gorgeous lunch" there.
Valerie Thornton chose The Beaumont Hotel, Hexham. "In summer they open the folding doors and it is so pleasant sitting overlooking the park. Lovely food too," she said.
From small plates of Lindisfarne oysters to beef tartare, there's something to suit every palette.
Joyce Bunn said: "The Anchor Inn Whittonstall is just fabulous, great scenery, fantastic food, spot on staff and a good choice on the menu."
One review said: "The food was delicious, great portions, staff were friendly and the pub had a cosy atmosphere."
The White Swan, Ovingham has "great food, friendly attentive staff and best of all it's fairly priced", according to reader Pat Stott.
It has recently refurbished its outdoor seating area for customers.
Also recommended were the Riverside Kitchen, Chollerford, The Natural Grocer Market & Social and Rising Cafe, both in Hexham, The Feathers Inn, Hedley-on-the-Hill, The Bowes Hotel, Bardon Mill, and Milecastle Inn, Haltwhistle.
