A GARDEN lounge and gym could be built at a rural home.
An agent from Doonan Architects Ltd submitted a planning application to Northumberland County Council to construct a garden lounge and a garden gym to the rear of Hindley Farm, Stocksfield.
Hindley is a small hamlet in the parish of Stocksfield and contains around 20 houses.
The application included a supporting statement document.

This stated: "The proposal is for the construction of two garden rooms within the curtilage of Hindley Farm, one to be used as an indoor-outdoor garden room living space, the second for a home gym and relaxation area. The proposals are to the rear of the property, therefore our client will be developing the proposals by exercising their householder permitted development rights."
The proposals are single-storey, are not within the curtilage of a listed building, or within a designated protected landscape.
"The proposal is for the domestic needs and personal enjoyment of the occupants of the dwellinghouse," the statement concluded.
