THE hills are alive and so will Hexham be with the “The SoundS of Music”.
Singers at Hexham Male Voice Choir are making final preparations for their spring concert at the town’s West End Methodist Church on Saturday, May 18. Performing with the choir will be The Notelettes Trio and Ellen Armstrong (principal singer with Hexham Amateur Stage Society).
Ray Taylor, the newly-appointed musical director, said: “There have been lots of changes and challenges with the choir in recent times, and though I have sung with the choir for the past two years, this is my concert as MD, and also the first concert in five years to include guest performers - both from Hexham. The Notelettes Trio and Ellen Armstrong, principal singer with Hexham Amateur Stage Society.”
Tickets are £12 on the door or online at hexhammalevoicechoir.com
