The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) was spotted once again around Hexham and district areas such as Haltwhistle, Bardon Mill and Allendale on Friday, May 10 and early morning of Saturday, May 11.
Thousands rushed out to secluded spots to capture the best picture possible. Although many were surprised and delighted that the lights were visable from their own street and back garden.
When taking pictures, many of our readers' pets also wanted to get involved in making memories of the night.
When Alice Stroyan was out watching the night sky, Cosmo the neighbours' cat came to see her when she was lying on her back looking up at the lights.
Jane Shortland's dog also took the opportunity to join in and wanted to pose below the Northern Lights.
Sometimes photos of the Northern Lights can look 'too' good and might look like they've been edited - which Graham Leadbitter addressed in his caption.
He said: "Haydon Bridge, this photo looks edited but it has no way at all been adjusted."
Some of our readers just happened to have been out during the Northern Lights, such as John Cody Doherty.
Luke Alexander-Dent took this lovely picture of St Andrew’s Church, Corbridge, during the Northern Lights.
Celia Ridley also took this picture after arriving home from a birthday party - so it was a perfect ending to her night.
