TWO town officials have been re-elected for the fourth time.
Hexham mayor Derek Kennedy and Fay Hartland, deputy mayor, were elected by the Hexham Town Council to hold their positions for a fourth year of a four-year term.
The council decided on this motion at their latest Monday, May 13 meeting.
Mayor Derek Kennedy said: “Hexham Town Council is a strong team that is delivering for the town. We look forward to the Heritage Zone completion and a great summer for the high street. We will work with our partners and have the Hexham Abbey celebrations this year. “
Deputy mayor Fay Hartland adds: "I would like to add that the Town Council has worked together to make Hexham an even better place to live and we are excited about the projects and events that are happening this year. "
