The MP for Hexham has visited a Community Allotment ahead of its annual Open Day.
Hexham MP, Guy Opperman, made an appearance at Prudhoe Community Allotment before their annual event on July 31.
The Allotment, founded in 2000 by the Prudhoe Gardeners’ Association committee members, is an accessible gardening facility situated at Redwell Court.
The site has modern amenities including a potting shed, a summerhouse, a greenhouse, and several raised beds.
The Allotment encourages everyone to participate in gardening, regardless of their level of ability.
The MP, who also serves as the President of the Prudhoe Community Allotment said: "It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of this truly special organisation."
He added: "As we enter the warmer months, I would encourage everyone to get down to the Allotment to try their hand with gardening."
The group meets every Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 1pm.
