A Hexham man is set to raise money for war veterans with a collection to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day next month.
Sean Ferguson, who has been the Royal British Legion representative in Hexham for just over a year, will be in the town on Thursday June 6, raising awareness of the anniversary and funds for veterans.
The area raised close to £15,000 during the remembrance collection period in October and November 2023.
Sean, who visited the beaches on the 75th anniversary, can be found on Fore street from around 9.30am until 4.30pm next month.
The RBL are also embracing cashless donations, so Sean will have card machines and QR codes, for those who wish to donate that way.
