A childcare setting in Northumberland is celebrating after achieving a second outstanding report from Ofsted.
Beverley's Second To Mum Childcare, Acomb, has been ranked outstanding in all areas, after an Ofsted inspection in March this year.
It was the setting's first inspection since before the pandemic, which also saw them rated as outstanding.
The report states: "Children develop excellent attachments with the childminder and her assistant. Children are happy and feel safe and secure in the setting. They readily turn to the childminder and her assistant for cuddles.
"Children thrive from the praise they receive when they do well. Children are extremely polite, saying 'please' and 'thank you'. The childminder helps children to regulate their own emotions. She helps them to understand why they may feel sad or happy. Children show high levels of confidence and self-esteem."
Partnerships with parents are also described as highly effective.
Beverley Robson said: "We get our children 'school ready' from the minute that they walk through our doors. We are passionate about working in partnership with parents and getting the best outcomes for the children in our care.
"What makes us outstanding is that we go that extra mile. We are so very proud of 'second to mum' and want all children in our setting to believe in themselves.
"At 'second to mum' we are all unique and we all bring our qualities to the setting. We are inclusive and we welcome and celebrate all cultures, religious beliefs, orientation and ethnicity. We want all children in our care to know that we are all loved the same no matter what our differences are, and we should embrace and be proud of who we are. We want children to be kind, helpful, polite, empathetic, confident individuals and to reach their potential.
"I am a mental health first aider and want to make a difference to children and their families. Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give. We try to instil in our children that if you see someone without a smile then give them one of yours. Always be a rainbow in someone else's cloud."
