A Hexham musical director enjoyed an 'amazing' first choir concert over the weekend.
Ray Taylor recently took over as the new musical director of the Hexham Male Voice Choir and on Saturday, May 18, they performed his unique debut concert, 'The SoundS of Music', at the West End Methodist Church.
The choir were joined by Clair Applegarth who played piano, as well as The Notelettes and Ellen Armstrong, who performed alongside the group.
Ray described the concert, which saw more than 100 people attend, as 'amazing' and is already looking forward to the next performance in July, which is called the 'rhythms of life in music'.
