Farmer Mark Robson has tackled a 101-mile march in under 48 hours for a remarkable cause.
Mr Robson, who runs Robson’s Animal Health in Wolsingham, Weardale and Hexham Mart, left Siddick and finished in Tynemouth on Sunday, May 19.
The walk is a formidable challenge, anything under 60 hours marks a true endurance test.
The charitable feat is a bid to raise £10,000 for Gemma, a regular face at Robson's Animal Health.
Gemma sustained life-altering spinal injuries in June 2021 at an equestrian event that involved major surgery, months in intensive care, and a demanding rehabilitation journey.
Now living in a residential home, she requires a high level of care, therapy, and specialised equipment.
An opportunity has arisen for Gemma to attend a specialised rehabilitation centre, STEPS in Sheffield.
However, the 12-week residential course comes at a lofty cost of £115,000.
There's optimism that this intense therapy could help Gemma fulfil her goals; being able to stroke her horse and dogs again.
Mr Robson hopes his rigorous journey will help fund Gemma’s journey towards recovery.
