The members of Corbridge Steam and Vintage Rally Society are delighted to support the Great North Air Ambulance Service following their appeal for funds and presented a £2,000 cheque to Bob Bruce a presenter of the GNAAS at their monthly meeting at Ovington Social Club.
Bob gave an interesting and informative talk to the members about the work of GNAAS and the resources they need to keep the service operating 24/7.
Speaking about the society, Bob said: "What a fantastic little group you have and it was a great pleasure for me to give a presentation on our service. I am as blown away by the fabulous donation which will go a long way towards saving lives in the area."
Corbridge Steam and Vintage Rally Society support local charity organisations and it was decided to donate to £2,000 Great North Air Ambulance Service for all the excellent work they do for the local community.
The society runs the yearly rally with over 700 exhibits at Corbridge Rugby Ground. This years show is held on the weekend of Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June.
The society said: "Please come along and help raise money for the charitable organisations which we support."
