An author from Stocksfield has had their second volume of the O Brave New Normal World series published.

Steve Gleadhill, the pen behind the series, recently published the second instalment, covering world events from March 2020 to December 2022, amidst the pandemic.

This work cast light on various issues including the handling of care homes, lockdown rules, global travel, and virus testing and tracing.

Additionally, the book delves into consequential occurrences like Brexit, the Afghan withdrawal, and investigations of past calamities: Hillsborough, Grenfell Towers, and the Manchester Arena bombing.

In the book he also looks at issues with the planet, and how it was imapcted by the pandemic.

He says that it has been estimated that one million of the eight million species on earth are thretaned by extinction.

The book also highlights the 'opportune' behaviours humans exhibited due to the disturbances created by the pandemic.
