A CHARITY boss is set to run to every Premier League stadium in England as a fundraising challenge.
Matthew Smith, 29, Founder of If U Care Share, is preparing to run a formidable 900-mile feat – in a bid to raise funds for his leading suicide prevention and mental health charity.
The charity recently received a massive surge of support, both financially and morally, from key North East businesses at a launch event held at Close House, Northumberland.
"I'm absolutely blown away by the generosity and support shown by North East businesses.", Mr Smith said.
Martijn Gilbert, Managing Director of train operator Lumo, echoed Mr Smith's sentiment: "As the North East has the highest rates of suicide of anywhere in the country, we are doing all we can to help drive down this staggering statistic.", he said.
The challenge, commencing in August, seeks to raise £135,000 and broaden understanding of suicide prevention nationwide.
