The Dispute Resolution team at Cartmell Shepherd Solicitors, a Tyne Valley legal firm, is a finalist in the Northern Law Awards.

The team, which operates in Hexham and Haltwhistle, has been shortlisted in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution category for the esteemed awards.

The specialist lawyers support clients not only in Northumberland and Cumbria, but nationally as well, covering civil litigation with particular expertise in disputes over wills, inheritance, agricultural matters, and issues concerning mental capacity and care funding.

The legal firm fortified its professional service, acquiring Nicholson Portnell Solicitors in April 2024, thus extending the specialised legal assistance offered to Tyne Valley clients for many years.

Comprising 15 members, the team's wealth of expertise spans from solicitors boasting over 20 years of experience to budding legal apprentices, including a dedicated support team.

Most of them earned their legal credentials at Cartmell Shepherd itself.

The Northern Law Awards 2024 is set to take place on June 27 at St James' Park, Newcastle. The grand ceremony honours legal talent and triumph, with 20 categories represented across the region.
