Northumbria Police praises its invaluable team of volunteers as part of National Volunteers' Week, and encourages others to lend their support to the community.
The diverse team includes special constables, cadets, mini police, cyber, rural crime and prevention support personnel, community speed watchers and university student volunteers.
Joscelin Lawson, assistant chief officer of Northumbria Police, said: "Our vision is to continue to support and empower our volunteers to thrive within Northumbria Police.
"We understand the importance of their skills and dedication, and we are truly thankful for the positive impact they have on our community."
She added that the volunteers are fully integrated as valued team members, and the force is keen on helping them achieve their full potential.
Ms Lawson said: "Together, we can make a meaningful difference and continue to enhance the services we offer to the public.
"To all our dedicated volunteers out there, thank you for being a part of our policing family and for all that you do to support our core objective of focus on prevention, be there when the public need us and deliver an outstanding service."
