A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash on the A68.
Emergency services attended the incident at Stocksfield and the rider was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said they received a report at approximately 11am yesterday morning (Wednesday, June 5) of a one-vehicle collision involving a motorbike.
"The rider was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The southbound carriageway was closed for a short period," they said.
A spokesperson from the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.49am on Wednesday, June 5 to a one-vehicle road traffic incident on the A68 at Stocksfield. We dispatched a double-crewed ambulance and transported one person to the Royal Victoria Infirmary."
