'The Iron Lady of Prudhoe' has realised her lifelong dream of becoming an accredited member of Travel Counsellors.

Formerly a representative and manager within the travel sector, Dawn Lloyd has become a franchise owner and fully qualified member of the bespoke holiday booking company.

She has said she was driven to make the move by the company's ethical business approach, which aligns with her own belief that holidays should be memorable for the right reasons.

After saying she witnessed many dissatisfied vacationers fall victim to poor planning and untrustworthy companies, she decided to rejoin the industry and establish a service that guarantees hassle-free holiday bookings.

Ms Lloyd said: “When Travel Counsellors get to work for you, not only will they listen to your needs but then will share advice and itinerary suggestions to make sure every detail is just right."

Her approach includes online discussions, phone consultations, home visits or scheduled meetings at the business' Low Prudhoe office, with the aim of ensuring holiday packages are tailored according to each person's desires, whether it's for short or long-haul, or business or pleasure trips.

All travel arrangements undertaken by Ms Lloyd and her team are ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) protected, and fully finance protected, as all funds will be held in an independent trust account instead of with the travel agent.
