Hexham residents contributed over £500 to a D-Day collection earlier this month.
Sean Ferguson, who has been the Royal British Legion representative in Hexham for just over a year, was in the town on Thursday June 6, raising awareness of the 80th anniversary and funds for veterans.
The area raised close to £15,000 during the remembrance collection period in October and November 2023.
Sean, who visited the beaches on the 75th anniversary, stood on Fore Street for much of the day last week, and raised an impressive £501.
