A Tynedale designer is celebrating winning a national award.
Victoria Walpole has been honoured with a Bespoke Guild Mark from the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers in London.
The accolade recognises her font cover, made from various woods, adorned with precise marquetry of the Tyne flowing from the dales to the sea.
Ms Walpole, a Northumbria University industrial design graduate, enhanced her artistic capabilities under Stephen Robinson Gay at his family workshops in Kirkharle.
Her unique skills in intricately cutting fine designs in marquetry and expert detailing in carving were paramount in securing the award.
The Bespoke Guild Mark, established in 1958, is given only to the most meticulously crafted pieces of bespoke furniture, signifying excellence amongst UK designer-makers.
