The Northumberland County Rally took place last week, with hundreds in attendance.

The event, hosted by Shaftoe Young Farmers and situated at Beacon Rigg Farm, near Langley, was filled with traditional competitions for young farmers, including sheep shearing and tractor driving.

The theme was 'the four seasons', requiring each of the 10 competing clubs to also showcase costuming, singing and crafting skills by requiring a member to dress as a scarecrow.

Additionally, rally secretary Amanda Reed mentioned the prowess of the Young Farmers Clubs (YFC), stating: "A fantastic day was had, highlighting the best that YFC can bring forward; from the committee members with their tireless efforts to bring the rally day to life; to the competitors travelling from all over Northumberland."
