PLANS to build a detached double garage were submitted in Haydon Bridge.
A planning application was submitted to Northumberland County Council by an agent from Darryl Bingham Architectural Services to create a new garage at Belmont House, Haydon Bridge.
The application's heritage statement said: "The application site forms a lawned area serving the host dwelling known as Belmont House, set on the south side of Belmont."
It added the site is within the boundary of the Haydon Bridge Conservation Area, but the impact of the proposed garage is not considered significant or that it will affect the locality.
In conclusion, the statement added: "Using the Historic England guide, it is considered that the proposed construction of a detached garage at the site known as Belmont House is of low-level significance. Views of the rear of the property are extremely limited with the local domestic gardens, adjacent public rights of way and mainline railway."
