WE asked our readers where the best places to get ice cream were in the Hexham and Tyne Valley area.
Here's what they said.
Caffè Ginevra Espresso Bar, Prudhoe is an Italian coffee bar specialising in espresso-based coffees, local ice cream, Italian food and wines.
Find flavours including berry crumble and custard and doughnut ice cream.
Readers including Laura Greene, Lauren Mckie, Kimi Armstrong and Rebecca Dodd all voted for Ginevra.
The Facebook page Stocksfield Tennis Club said: "They make their own Italian style gelato and ice creams in lots of different flavours."
Wheelbirks Parlour, Stocksfield was voted for by Sue Buckle, Louise Raine and Paul Lewis.
The ice cream parlour is based on a working farm which practises ethical farming.
Janie French also commented: "Wheelbirks Parlour is a trip out but bliss."
One Facebook review said: "The ice cream was delicious, the play area was fantastic, the little gift shop was beautifully presented with so many goodies and the whole place was immaculate."
Hexham Sweetie Jar was recommended by reader Angela Scott.
One Google review said: "Best one in Hexham, and Amy always makes sure she's got my favourite in stock."
The mobile ice cream van Tyne Valley Ices, based in Hexham, was another recommendation by Vicky Hogg.

A Facebook review said: "Sitting in my garden enjoying the breeze and one of Zoe Philipson's fabulous ice creams with flake in a sugar cone from Tyne Valley Ices, best ice cream in the district."
Tyne Valley Ices is available for weddings, corporate events and trade shows.
The sandwich shop Jethros, Haltwhistle was recommended by the Facebook page, Visit Haltwhistle.
Visit Haltwhistle added the ice cream is made on premises.
From the classic tastes of vanilla and strawberry to the exotic including banana milkshake, snickers and cinnamon, Jethros serves a wide range of flavours.
One Facebook review said: "Called into Jethro's earlier in the week for takeaway lunch and couldn't resist trying a few ice creams (bought six) and they are lush."
