THE region’s biggest beer festival was a sell-out event with crowds enjoying food and entertainment.
The Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival started as a small beer festival in 2002 organised by Tynedale Rugby Club and the Tynedale Lions, held in the clubhouse building, to fundraise for good causes in the region and the Rugby Club itself.
The festival blends the opportunity to sample beers and ciders along with a live music programme, street food, rugby and other entertainment.
It was held at Tynedale Park, home of the rugby club in Corbridge and took place from Thursday, June 13 until Sunday, June 16.
Chair of the Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival committee, Ian Cave, said: "All the hard work of our volunteers was rewarded by large crowds on the Friday and sold out on the Saturday. The weather did not deter festival-goers from far and wide from enjoying the music, food and entertainment. Thanks for coming and watch out for details of next year's festival."
