A COUPLE shared their delight after enjoying two 'magical' wedding days.

Allana and Andrew Hurst first met at Perdu nightclub in Newcastle more than 10 years ago.

Allana, 29, said she 'smiled as soon as I saw him'.

Andrew, 31, is a plumbing and heating engineer while Allana owns her own business named Tights Tights Tights.

The pair got engaged on a balcony in Spain. Allana said: "We were on the balcony at Andrew’s mum and dad’s apartment having some sangria with music on, Andrew asked me to get up for a dance.

"I was in holiday mode and thought absolutely nothing of it. Andrew then got down on one knee, it was the most magical experience. I was so shocked and was very emotional," she said.

The pair, who live in Cramlington, married in Morpeth Town Hall on May 11, before enjoying their main wedding in Benahavis, Spain, on May 26.

The wedding in Morpeth saw the couple have their parents and Andrew's sister, Sarah, as their witnesses.

Andrew’s parents, Diane and Michael Hurst, are from Cramlington. Allana’s parents, Debbie and Mark Loftus, are from Gosforth.

Flowers were supplied by The Bee And Botanist based in Morpeth. "They did a fantastic job at doing my bouquet and our families' buttonholes," Allana said.

The favourite part of the wedding for both couples was reciting their own vows and seeing each other at the aisle.

"We had a fantastic day," Allana said. "After the ceremony, we went to the park to get photos, we ended up going in a rowing boat which was so magical. We then went for drinks at Pleased To Meet You, followed by a meal at Lollo Rosso."

"Our photographer Debs made our day so fun and enjoyable. She captured the most amazing photographs, we are so grateful," Allana added.

Following their ceremony in Morpeth, the couple travelled to Spain for their main celebration. Allana said: "The main wedding was absolutely fantastic, it was in a villa in the mountains in Benahavis."

The night before the wedding, she and Andrew spent the night apart to build up the excitement for the big day.

Allana did a 'first look' with her dad, Mark, of them both suited and booted.

She said it was a 'proud and emotional moment that I will treasure forever'.
