Allendale Forge Studios Gallery are set to host an exhibition by Hexham's accomplished watercolourist Ged Selby.
Inspired by twentieth century artists such as Wesson, Seago and Singer Sargent, Ged's delightful work reflects the dales and fells of his local landscapes.
This exhibition is entitled 'Here and There' and runs from throughout the month of July (opening hours: 10am-5pm, Sunday: 10am-4pm, closed Tuesdays)
Ged Selby was introduced to watercolour painting during his school years and encouraged to develop his skills by his Oxfordshire college tutor, himself an accomplished watercolourist. Ged has spent a lifetime inspired by and committed to traditional landscape painting in this sensitive medium.
Following a career in education as a headmaster, Ged formed an antique glass dealership together with his wife Maeve, before relocating from Yorkshire to settle in Hexham a decade ago.
He has exhibited with the Yorkshire Watercolour Society, the Hexham Art Club, and Allendale Forge Studios, his works reflecting the dales and fells around him.
