PLANS were submitted to build a new self-build property in Ponteland.
An agent from Square Box Architecture Ltd submitted a planning application to Northumberland County Council to demolish a bungalow and erect a 'new self-build property' at 79 Edge Hill, Darras Hall, Ponteland.
The new house will have at least four bedrooms and is proposed to have a 7.7m ridge height, with 5m reduced eaves.

A preliminary bat roost assessment and ecological appraisal were done to ensure there were no roosting bats before demolishing the existing bungalow.
The report said no evidence was found of roosting bats within the building, which was in generally good condition.
