This year's Craftsmen at the Priory exhibition and sale is set to take place at a historic venue in Cumbria.

Lanercost will host the annual showcase with 15 of the North of England's best designers and makers from July 31 until August 27, and is open from 10am to 5pm.

The event, taking place in Dacre Hall alongside Lanercost Priory since 1978, presents skill and creativity.

Tricia Meynell of Castle Carrock, a fine art and abstract photographer and a member of the organising team, said: "“The Dacre Hall is an amazing venue with its vaulted wooden ceiling, huge fireplace and gorgeous gothic windows.

“As always, we’ve a core team of artists and craftspeople organising the event and we’ll be joined this year by nine guests, all but one based in Cumbria, Northumberland or County Durham and each one exhibiting with us for the first time.”

Visitors will find a wide selection of crafts across a range of prices including wall-hung art, a large selling exhibition in the main hall, and a sales area for crafts and goods.
