THREE suspected thieves linked to a series of high-value rural thefts in Northumberland have been arrested - after officers surrounded their vehicle.
Shortly after 7.20pm on Friday (July 5), Northumbria Police was alerted to a black Nissan Navara car linked to the recent thefts which was travelling in the force's area.
The parked vehicle was quickly tracked down in Bellingham and boxed in by officers before being seized.
Two males - aged 28 and 30 - and a female aged 30 were all arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft.
All three have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
