Drivers in and around Tynedale will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for.

Tynedale motorists should be careful of these seven closures expected to begin over the next two weeks:

• A69, from 7pm July 8 to 6am July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, Haydon Bridge Bypass - traffic signals to carry out Structure routine maintenance.

• A69, from 9am to 4pm on July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 eastbound, Bellister bridge, Haltwhistle Bypass - traffic Lights to carry out Bridge joint investigation work.

• A69, from 9am to 4pm on July 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 eastbound, Two Mile Cottages, Hexham West, junction - Lane closure to carry out Safety barrier repair.

• A69, from 9am to 4pm on July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, between Melkridge and Haltwhistle - One lane closed on climber lane for maintenance works.

• A69, from 7pm July 10 to 6am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, - Haltwhistle Bypass - traffic signals to carry out various structural maintenance.

• A69, from 9am to 4pm on July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 westbound, Greenhead bank - One lane closed on climber lane to carry out Sign maintenance.

• A69, from 7pm July 15 to 7am July 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A69 Stagshaw Interchange, various overnight slip road closures for carriageway resurfacing.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in its schedule.
