Sarah Vickers, an alumnus of Queen Elizabeth High School, has penned her first play, which has enjoyed three sell-out shows in London and Reading.
Produced with Messy Kind, run by Tor Lighten and Hugo Papiernik, the play is set to premiere in Newcastle as part of the annual Fringe Festival at Alphabetti Theatre on July 18, 19, and 20.
More information about the play and ticket details is available on the Messy Kind website.
The narrative centres on childhood sweethearts, Sonia and Ash, who reunite after ten years apart.
Amidst the grief of her father's death, Sonia had vanished, leaving Ash to cope alone.
However, Sonia resurfaces on the day of Ash's mother's funeral, unaware that Ash is now engaged to Tom.
Through their interactions, the play explores the strength of their bond and the personal flaws that have caused chaos in their lives.
