Primary school pupils in Allendale have visited the gallery displaying their artwork.
Allendale Primary School pupils prepared for the "Echoes of the Past" art exhibition at the Allendale Forge Studios where they showcased their masterpieces and were able to visit the studios and see their work displayed.
Commenting on the children's diligence and creativity, Sarah White, a teacher at the school, said: "Once again, the young artists from Allendale Primary School have been working hard and are ready to unveil their masterpieces at the wonderful "Echoes of the Past" art exhibition at the Allendale Forge Studios."
The exhibition, driven by a historical theme, saw the young artists utilising a mix of media to give life to their artistic interpretations of events from history, the work of bygone artists and personal changes over time.
Mrs White noted: "Inspired by history, these talented children have transformed their visions into captivating artworks using a whole host of media.
"The children interpreted the brief in their own way, with some focusing on events from the past, some exploring the works of past artists and drawing inspiration from their creations and some observing closely how they have changed over a period of time."
Allendale Forge Studios, a community interest company managed entirely by volunteers, is hosting the children's art in Studio 11 until Wednesday, July 17.
The space is multipurpose, catering for schools, clubs, and groups to conduct meetings, workshops, exhibitions, and community events.
In July, the Studio 11 was the focal point of the Allendale community when it accommodated the Allendale Primary School's art exhibition after it opened on Tuesday, July 9.
The public is invited to appreciate the culmination of the young artists' hard work and to support local talent.
The exhibition is not only a showcase of the children's art skills but also a testament to their understanding and interpretation of history.
Steeped in creativity, imagination, and understanding, the "Echoes of the Past" exhibition brought to life history in an honest and enthralling way, as seen through the eyes of Allendale's young pupils.
