An organisation has issued a call to charity groups, who need hygiene product donations.
Toiletries Amnesty, the first UK organisation fighting hygiene poverty, is calling on local charities needing hygiene product donations.
Ever since it was established as the country's solitary public directory, the charity has continued to help community organisations and their beneficiaries by clearly displaying how individual and corporate contributions make a difference.
They currently support several organisations in the area but know that there are more people out there in need of help.
The organisation has encouraged other organisations to register for the Toiletries Amnesty directory, free of charge to gain access to toiletry donations.
Organisations listed for such donations were Blythmouth, Changing Lives, N.E.S.T-North East Solidarity and Teaching and The Peoples Kitchen.
Additionally, the urgent need for toiletries for individuals living in poverty has been highlighted and there has been an appeal to the public to contribute.
The process is simple, people can enter their postcode and their nearest organisation's contact details will pop up on their interactive map.
That way, anyone can get in touch to arrange the donation.
