A RURAL country pub has received a new food hygiene rating.
The Boatside Inn, a country pub in the hamlet of Warden, just outside Hexham, has received a five-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency.
The recent new owners of the pub are 'absolutely thrilled' with this news, having conducted a recent full kitchen refurbishment.
A spokesperson for the pub said: "We are ambitious to provide delicious and fresh home-cooked food for the local clientele and beyond.
