Hexham Male Choir enjoyed an evening of 'music and laughter' with its first ever performance in Haydon Bridge.
The concert, titled Rhythms of Life - A Musical Journey, was performed on Saturday, July 20 at Haydon Bridge Methodist Church.
The choir was accompanied by solo performances from Jim Wright, Chris Foster and Lee Falkingham, who sang classics such as Over the Rainbow and The Wonder of You.
Ray Taylor, musical director, said: "This was our first time singing in Haydon Bridge and for sure we will plan to go back next year.
"We all created an enjoyable evening of music and laughter, and after the concert our catering team served ‘summer themed’ refreshments for everyone - cream tea with scones, baked for us by people from the Hextol Foundation. A real winner.
"We are looking to grow our number of singers and we are inviting any men to just turn up to listen to us rehearse and decide if it is a group they would like to join."
Rehearsals are at West End Methodist Church on Thursdays from 7pm-9pm, with the month of August off.
More details can be found at the choir's website www.hexhammalevoicechoir.co.uk
The choir's next performance will be its autumn concert, which is called A Musical Mystery Tour, and will take place on October 12, at West End Methodist Church, in Hexham.
