An annual photo competition has been launched to find the best images of the Tyne rivers.

Tyne Rivers Trust has announced they are inviting photographers to submit entries for their 2025 calendar competition.

The charity produces a calendar each year which goes on sale to raise funds to help support their vital work of improving the Tyne rivers.

Ceri Gibson, chief executive officer of Tyne Rivers Trust, said: "The rivers are such an important part of our region and we use the calendars every year to showcase this. It’s an opportunity for people to show us what the Tyne means to them."

The theme is #MyTyne, so images can cover anything from people enjoying the river to wildlife to scenic shots.

The closing date is Sunday, August 28. The team from the Trust will then select 12 images that show the river throughout the seasons.

Members of the public can enter by sending up to three images to info@tyneriverstrust.org
