Homes in the Northumberland town of Haltwhistle have benefitted from major investment thanks to a £1m regeneration programme.
Through the programme, northern housing association Karbon Homes has upgraded and modernised 55 flats and bungalows, with customers benefitting from a range of improvements including new roofing, window and door replacements, as well as energy efficiency upgrades and re-rendering to improve the external aesthetic of the properties.
The bungalows have benefitted from some external environmental works, to improve the paving and resolve some dampness and mould issues as a result.
Jonathan Fletcher, director of property services at Karbon Homes, said: "We know how important it is to our customers that we continue to invest significantly in their homes and neighbourhoods, and programmes like this demonstrate our commitment to that ongoing investment.
The six-month project was delivered in partnership with regeneration specialist contractor RE:GEN North East.
The investment work at Haltwhistle is part of a multi-million-pound planned investment programme from Karbon that in the last financial year saw the housing association spend over £29million on ensuring its homes meet the Decent Homes Standard.
