Hexham Poundstretcher is starting a new chapter under new ownership with a weekend-long event offering hourly shopping voucher wins to customers.
The local store, now under the management of the Fortress Investment Group, is celebrating with an event from August 2 to August 4 where lucky customers can win £10 shopping vouchers.
Poundstretcher's new CEO, Andy Atkinson, is excited about the changes taking place in the company under the new leadership.
Mr Atkinson said: "Under new ownership and new leadership Poundstretcher is changing fast, whilst we're just getting started, the feedback from customers on our price cuts and new brands has been great.
"The continued cost of living crisis has been difficult for households up and down the country, so I'm pleased we're helping our customers to save money, and I'm happy to see more and more of them shopping with us every week.
"To mark the start of this new journey, we're giving away tens of thousands of pounds worth of vouchers across the country over one weekend."
The Hexham Poundstretcher store manager, Will Store, also said: "The pace of change at Poundstretcher under new management has been terrific.
"Me and my team are passionate about our business and it's great that customers have been noticing the lower prices and new brands in our store.
"We're excited to be celebrating this new chapter with a three-day chance to win shopping voucher event and look forward to welcoming more customers into our store."
Fortress Investment Group took over the helm of Poundstretcher in April 2024, and they are listening to customers and staff, responding to feedback quickly, lowering prices, and introducing more favourite brands into the stores.
Since the takeover, more than 800 permanent price cuts have been made across various product categories, allowing customers to stretch their budgets further.
Alongside that customers can expect hundreds of products priced at 99p and more than 500 big brands, including Coca Cola, Walkers Crisps, Cadbury, and Radox, introduced in every store.
Monthly super deals and a new customer events aisle with hundreds of super deals on household favourites are other new features under the new management.
A monthly leaflet will keep customers updated about these price cuts and deals.
