A woman from Hexham won the best-dressed award at Newcastle Racecourse recently at their annual Gainford Group Ladies Day.
Eilish Waters took the crown in the 2024 Style Awards.
Dressed in an elegant red outfit covered with roses, she was the star of the day.
Ms Waters said: "I knew I wanted a big headpiece, and I really like roses.
"I follow fashion quite a bit and saw that red is really big on the catwalk this year.
"I never really wear red and thought this was the perfect opportunity, and I also recently lost my mum, and her favourite colour was red, so I also wanted to do this for her."
Her outfit was a combination of a headpiece from Marianne Millinery and a dress from Coast.
Savannah Harding from Cleadon placed second in a black and white Club London dress and Chanel-inspired nails, while David Weir from Jarrow, flaunting a vibrant suit from Claudio Lugli, secured third place.
Ms Harding said: "I was not expecting to win this today, I’ve just been sitting enjoying the atmosphere and hospitality. I was amazed when I got scouted by the judges, and I am so grateful for the award and prizes."
Mr Weir commented: "It's nice, bright, colourful, a bit out there, and different from anything I’ve worn before."
Lesley Middlemiss Lister, the managing director at TTM and head Judge for Style Awards, said: "It was absolutely fantastic, I loved that people had read the style guide and brought the gold, bold colours and the jockey prints."
She also said: "It was especially great to see how much effort the men put into their outfits, too, this year."
The winners bagged prizes worth more than £8,000.
Ms Waters, won, among others, a £1000 holiday voucher with Dawson & Sanderson, a three-month membership at David Lloyd, and a Bongos Bingo VIP night for six people at The Boiler Shop.
For those inspired to have a go in next year's Style Awards, event tickets are now on sale.
