A singer-songwriter from Northumberland is set to play a charity music festival.
Sam Shields, whose sound NARC magazine described as 'earnest, Springsteen-esque vocals accompanied by tenderly picked guitar', will grace the stage at Newcastle venue, The Cluny.
Mr Sheilds has previously performed at Hexham Abbey.
The festival, taking place on Friday, August 16, will run from 2-11 pm.
Mr Shields is booked to perform the 8.15 pm slot.
The Northumberland native will be joined on stage by Lauren Barnes and Liam Mackel on keyboards and bass, enhancing his already popular live sound.
The event promises an exciting line-up of twelve acts all playing on one stage.
The line-up boasts other acts such as London duo Ooberfuse, new band Park View, acclaimed songwriter Alistair Griffin, and headline act, Fargo Railroad Co.
The festival will be hosted by TV presenter Pam Royle.
The music festival is for a worthy cause.
All the profits from the gig will go to the Bright Red charity which supports patients suffering from a range of blood cancers in the northern region hospitals.
These diseases include leukaemias, lymphomas, as well as myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative diseases.
Hexham General Hospital is one of the medical centres Bright Red works with to lend a helping hand to cancer patients.
Tickets for the charity gig are priced at £15 and can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com/e/bright-red-music-festival-tickets-877991344747?aff=oddtdtcreator
Alongside buying tickets, festival-goers can also make a donation to the Bright Red charity through the ticket website.
