Hexham Climate Café had a Restore Nature Now Walk at Sele Park, highlighting the urgent need for environmental protection.
In response to mounting global and local concerns about the rapid decrease in biodiversity, this event, which was held on Saturday, July 27, followed a similarly-themed march in London on June 22.
With a dancing polar bear taking the lead, the procession comprised snakes, a shark, an octopus, a badger, mushrooms and a puffin.
They carried an expressive banner, created in June at a climate café, which embodied their urgent plea to save nature.
As the plight of plants, insects, birds and animals persists, further events like these look set to continue.
The next Climate Café, scheduled for September 28 from 11am to 1pm at Hexham Library, invites all to join.
