EMERGENCY services are attending a crash involving two cars on the A69.
Two cars reportedly crashed on the A69 westbound, near Brampton this afternoon.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly after 12pm today (Friday, August 2), we received a report of a two-vehicle collision on the A69 westbound close to Brampton.
"Emergency services are in attendance.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes."
In an update at 2.30pm on Friday, the road reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
