WE asked our readers to share what they think are the tell-tale signs of the summer holidays.
Here's what they said.
Andrew David Robson said: "Loads of families with their kids are on public transport."
AB Smith said: "The roads are relatively clear in the mornings," while Jenny White agreed. She said: "The traffic on the commute to work is halved."
Paula Common said: "The prices of holidays shoot up dramatically."
Ben Plummer commented: "Tesco stock school uniforms to remind the little cherubs that it’s only temporary before they're back."
Paul Robson added that 'back to school sales' is another sign of the summer holiday season, and Pat Stott, Susan Moylan and Gayle Wright said it always rains in the summer holidays.
