Hexham's Trinity Methodist Church Hall is to host the first Just Fix It repair café.
The café, scheduled for Saturday, August 10, will run from 10am - 1pm.
This new initiative led by Transition Tynedale aims to tackle environmental damage by reducing waste.
The café offers locals a chance to engage, learn new skills, and add resilience to their community.
Encouraging residents to bring along torn clothes or faulty small appliances for free repair by friendly volunteers, the project promotes a culture of reparation over disposal.
Attendees can enjoy a hot drink, observe the repairers at work, and might even be inspired to join the Fix It team.
The volunteers will also provide advice on handling minor household problems and may guide on alternatives if a repair isn't feasible.
While services are free, voluntary contributions to aid the project are appreciated.
